JTTFSOTS DVD out-of-print

Hi All,

In case any of you have been putting off buying the American "Journey
to the Far Side of the Sun" DVD (like I had), Simon Wickes pointed
out to me that Amazon.com now lists this title as "out of print". I
just picked up a copy at bn.com for $13, but who knows how long
you'll be able to find this title at retail...

(sort of off-topic, but this movie should be of interest to any fan of UFO)

If any SHADO members haven't come across this (Doppleganger, an
alternative title in some countries) before, then read on..
This was one of the first films to be released on DVD, and many of the
props were re-used in UFO (and other Anderson stuff).. JTTFSOTS has
also been one of the cheapest DVD films to buy, anywhere (perhaps used
as a bit of a "test", like "Dark Side of the Moon" when audio CD's were
'new'?)
Why would it be withdrawn.. unless.. serious money is being spent (or
insured against?) on at least one Anderson-based Hollywood-style in-
progess production..
That aside, and incredible as it may sound, some DVD film releases are
already 'collectors items'. The Entertainment business really has
nothing other than 'failure of imagination' to worry about.
Sorry Yuchtar, - another "ism" by "Mr 2001"!
