Hi all,
I just got the "Joe 90" soundtrack CD that was released earlier
this month. For those who do not know, "Joe 90" was one of
the puppet series that Gerry Anderson made prior to UFO.
And the music was done by Barry Gray, who also did the
music in UFO.
Barry Gray frequently reused music recorded for a series on a
later series, and indeed there is some music on this CD that
was reused in UFO. Not much, though -- in total it's probably
just a couple minutes, and is music mostly heard in the UFO
episode REFLECTIONS IN THE WATER. There is also a piece that's
heard in THE SOUND OF SILENCE as well... and also some stuff
that I recognize from SPACE:1999.
Never having watched Joe 90, I always associate these pieces
of music with UFO and SPACE:1999.
