John Levene Convention Appearance - Atlanta

Hi All,
SHADO Interceptor pilot ("Close Up") actor John Levene will be appearing at the TIMEGATE convention in Atlanta, May 23-26th. Levene also portrayed Sgt. Benton on Doctor Who from 1969 to 1975.

Neither of these are John Levene; I think these pics are of Mark Hawkins(?).

I forget which episode(s) Levene featured in, but they were only fleeting
appearances, that's for sure. Even more fleeting than Mark Hawkins in fact!

Levene is really best known here in the UK for his role as Sergeant Benton
of UNIT; mainly the Jon Pertwee era.

Those were from the episode CLOSE UP. But you're right --
he only briefly appears on-screen. The other Interceptor
pilot gets most of the on-screen time.

Thanks for the photos! Wish they were a bit higher in resolution, but
they'll do in a pinch.
Timegate is mainly a Doctor Who/Stargate related convention, and
Levene is their main Who guest this year.
I figured there may be a few list members who were interested that he
also appeared in UFO.
I'll try and get a shot of him wearing a SHADO badge if possible.

I don't believe there are any publicity photos which feature John
Levene (although anyone feel free to prove my wrong!). Those were
simply frame captures from the HDTV broadcast of CLOSE UP. I
checked the episode, and there isn't much to choose from in
terms of frame captures -- he's only onscreen for less then
30 seconds, and his only word of dialog is "Roger"!
