The idea is, that Lnt Keith Ford's family aren`t supposed to know he works
for a
military organisation: that`s what the
series strongly stated, with the base
under a studio. Ford is given a 'cover' job,
like Foster (Post Production Manager), Straker (Studio Exec) etc. How
Henderson is explained away as being part of the studio system I don`t know!
SHADO staff would have to work shifts of some sort.
