Konami Models

Tania Woodbury
Hi folks,
I'm sure most of you know about the Konami UFO "candy toy" models.
I got mine the other day and I'm really happy with them. I bought 2 "cartons" from Hobbylink Japan and ended up with a complete set. HLJ still have them, although last time I looked they were showing "low stock". They also sell only complete cartons of 10 boxes, unopened with no guarantee of which models you get.
For interests sake, I thought I'd let anyone interested know the proportions of each model in the 2 cartons.
As I said, each contains 10 models. Out of the 20 I received 4 Interceptors, 4 Skydivers, 3 Sky Ones, 3 Mobiles, 3 UFOs, 2 Lunar Module Launchers and 1 Gay Ellis.
Overall I think I did a little better than the advertised numbers and I now have a number of spares (sealed in bags with boxes opened at the bottom only)
If anyone "Downunder" is interested in purchasing one or more of my spares, get in touch directly at [hidden email] (I'm in Auckland NZ). Please don't reply to the list. I would also be interested in swapping for a SID (or maybe the Eagle) out of the "Premium" set. I'd rather help out fellow fans than feed the eBay "monster" although that's where my spares will probably end up eventually.
Sorry, I'm keeping Gay!
Regards
Tania (very happy model collector)

Just got my Konami Models

Martin Parrott
I just wanted to say I only recently 'rediscovered' UFO and websites related
to it. I intend to get the DVD sets soon and would like to start collecting
some of the old toys related to the series. To kick off this effort, I
started on eBay a couple of weeks ago and won one of the many auctions for
the Konami models. I just received the 6 models today and I have to say I am
very pleased. For such small models, the detail is quite respectable. I
intend to use these models to create some 3D models in my Lightwave program.

If you are starting out like me and want something tangible that is related
to the series, look at these models. The price is not too bad for what you
get.
