I have the collection of DVDs from the UFO series. One episode called Timelash(which is my favorite) there is 1 uncredited actress toward the beginning. So looks really familiar to me. Im kinda a sci fi fan of that time area and I think Ive seen her on another show. She is the girl frozen in time and the guy is looking down her top. Do you know what her name is? Here is a link to here picture. Thank you very much.

I think it's kirsten lindholm, but I'm not sure. She is listed in the
credits of the episode as "actress" On Wed, Jun 9, 2010 at 11:30 AM, Formerly <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > I have the collection of DVDs from the UFO series. If I recall correctly, the dress she is wearing made appearances in at least two other episodes: The Sound Of Silence and Psychobombs.
And I think a pair of Ed's pajamas (or pyjamas, if you prefer) got recycled - the yellow ones Ed wore on his honeymoon. (Who takes PJs on his honeymoon?!?!, btw) I think somebody on Moonbase wears the same pair in Kill Straker maybe? Well, you have to give Sylvia credit for streching the costume budget as much as possible! Dave in Canada. ________________________________ From: Formerly <[hidden email]> To: [hidden email] Sent: Wed, June 9, 2010 11:30:05 AM Subject: [SHADO] Looking for some help with an actress....... Kirsten Lindholm is the lady in the red dress on the set stage with the other actor, so its not her. -------------------------------------- Apart from the regular actors, a number of non-regular actors would have been engaged for the frozen scenes, some tableaux would have been detailed inthe script, others detailed in advance by the director. Some needed very careful pre-planning because of the unusual props - e.g. the suspended chair, the frozen sawdust, others were a bit more flexible. The leering-down-the-dress-front could have been either pre-planned, in which case a suitable actress would have been specifically chosen and a dress made/chosen to suit the shot or it could be that the actress was engaged for this flexible scene and the sight of her in the low-cut dress inspired the looking-down-the-cleavage idea. What certainly SHOULDN'T have happened on any well run production is that the idea was detailed in advance yet the choice of actress was left until itwas seen who turned up as extras. a) there may have been no suitable extra, b) there may not have been a suitable dress in the right size for her. Apart from the fact that if an extra became especially featured in a shot than you would have to pay them the same amount as if you had cast them in advance anyway (assuming that the strong union of the time would even allow this) things like this just should never be left to chance. Serendipity happens on a film set but it would never by relied on by any sensible producer. Regards John |
PS When I said "flexible" I didn't mean that there wasn't a plan for the scene at all, but that it could have been something as simple as "two SHADO operatives are frozen in mid-conversation" and the addition of the leering could have been an afterthought.
