Man Who Came Back

Bill Cotter
This episode always bugged me. Instead of luring Straker up into space
all Nesbitt's character would have to have done is walk into SHADO and
blow him away. Yeah, not a particularly long nor enjoyable episode,
but more realistic. Why would the aliens need such an elaborate plot
to get Straker up in space so he could be suffocated/brained up there?

I guess what really bugs me is that it would have been relatively easy
to "explain" why Straker was only in danger in space. Some mention
could have been made that the alien control was weak on earth and grew
in strength when out of the atmosphere/close to an orbiting ship, etc.
One or two simple lines of dialog and it would have been a lot easier
to swallow.
