It's good to go off topic once in a while! Marc I think you may like Randal & Hopkirk. It would be my choice. The characters are well thought out and the concept of a ghost is pretty far out. Marty has been in loads of TV (many films and currently Brookside) and Geoff Randal is played by Mike Pratt, guest star in Psychobombs, Clem Mason who escapse the voice trap and gets onto Skydiver. The main other reason is that the series was written by Dennis Spooner who is responsible for the script for UFO- Destruction.
The funny thing I find about the show is that Marty is a ghost and can't do much in the fight scenes other than jump around shouting "Hit 'im Geoff!! Hit 'im!!".
I just looked him up in a book and found out that he's also responsible for The Avengers, Man in a Suitcase, The Champions and Department S and many Gerry Anderson shows. I used to live two doors away from his daughter in South London.
