Thank you, Yuchtar, for saying it like it was! If she'd just stopped Johnny
before he ran into the road, he'd have been fine. And don't you just love
how she turns to Ed and says, "Do something!"? Makes me want to smack her
every time! What a bitch!

Pam is as confused as I am about why they matched him with such a whiner.
But as I've watched the shows again (as an adult this time) I've noticed
that every time they have him interested in a female, she's another whiner.
Except Jo, but then she's not his type either. It really makes me wonder
about how the writers for the series viewed women? Don't you think?
Yours,
Denise

LOL! Well, besdies letting him run out in the road, she should NOT have
shooed Ed away like she did when she KNEW Johnny wanted to show him
something. She did that because her new hubby was standing in the
doorway - makes me think maybe her new relationship was somewhat
abusive? Hubby #2 seems controlling, no?

Jeesh. Yeah, well, the writers were all male, weren't they? <sigh>

As far as Mary is concerned I think it's grossly unfair to
describe her as a 'bitch'. Yes, she gets hysterical an angry,
but her son's life is in danger after all. Yes, she leaves
Straker, but she seriously believes he is cheating on her
and he is unable to explain why. She's not my type but I
wouldn't call her a 'bitch' either.

I would.

If some woman on the list loving Ed (and consider Mary as a not good

Yes, I agree - the perfect woman for Ed would HAVE to be someone already
in the know about SHADO, but that doesn't make Mary any less of a
screacher creature.

Think you may be reading more into the episode than
can be proven to exist... (as though a Strakerite like
yourself would believe Ed would flee before an abusive
husband)...

Regards,

Andy
