I did'nt like the idea of Aliens from a distant planet. In this respect the episodes from UFO lack a certain credibility. I think this concept actually better fits the scripts that were written. I am opposed to changing UFO as represented by the TV series, however the last episodes were more concerned with a more intelligent, sinister and complicated alien intrusion into our world. I am changing nothing in respect of the series, merely the where the Aliens come from. With regard to the Pluto story, all I would say is that the scientific elite, which are based essentially within Universities have never been comfortable with evidence that contradicts the scientific world view, and are swift to bury or ignore it,even to the point of persecution and cries of heresy. on the subject of technology... how does Skydiver maintain its angle of 45-50 degrees in the launching of sKY oNE...Is this not against the laws of physics.,and why not go for a surface launch.-not so much power to be used by the Diver sub...

Hi All
R.O.V.'s (remotely operated vehicles) do this all the time. Achieve zero buoyancy, and then with ballast/air tank adjustments, and thrusters they are able to achieve any position in three dimensional space (X,Y,and Z) or if they have an umbilical cable, they have other limitations. Normally, most R.O.V.'s maintain a positive position in the Z axis (they do not invert). I have a long and boring reason for knowing this... I won't elaborate. Hope this helps, Griff --- In [hidden email], paul foster <sonamulist99@...> wrote: > > on the subject of technology... how does Skydiver maintain its angle of 45-50 degrees in the launching of sKY oNE...Is this not against the laws of physics.,and why not go for a surface launch.-not so much power to be used by the Diver sub... |

Hi All - I really liked Griff's idea about the ROVs. I'm familiar with ROVs
because of my fascination with Dr. Robt Ballard and his discovery of many famous shipwrecks, most of which have had to be explored via ROVs. It would make sense that the aliens could also send ROVs of their own - mind if I utilize this idea in a fan fic story? I'll give credit where credit is due.... Pam the Canuck |
