Mike Billington Confirmed Guest at Eclectic21 con in Leicester

John Wadsworth-Ladkin
Hi all you groovy Shadoites out there - It's been a while since I've
contributed anything but thats the problem when you get
stuck with having to complete exams :-(

Anyway, some good news to hopefully cheer everybody up, Mike Billington
today has agreed to be at a guest at the
Eclectic 21 convention in Leicester, England on May 25th-27th.:-) This is
especially good news since as some of you know,
the top groovy dude himself, Ed Bishop, is already a confirmed guest at this
con. I think, although I am not at all certain, this
is the first time both Ed and Mike would have appeared together at a con in
England - very shagadelic:-)If I'm wrong, no
doubt somebody will correct me.

Just a final point about the negative comments Gerry has alledgedly stated
about MB - Gerry may his reasons for having a
downer on MB, but my own personal experince of dealing with Mike over the
last few days is that he is a very courteous
and kind person indeed. He responed to all my emails in less than 12 hours,
agreed to participate in everything, I, as one of
the organisers of this event, asked him to do, and he did not ask for very
much in return. As an organiser, you cannot ask for
much more - a groovy dude if you ask me :-)

Good news - and I hope to see of you there.

Be groovy all

John

About 120 miles up the M1 or so .. further from Heathrow though
which is some way west of London.

It will take about 1 hour 30 minutes on a train from St Pancras Station in
London to Leicester station.

It can take either 15 minutes or 45 minutes from heathrow or London
depending upon whether you want to pay about £15 per ticket or £5 per
ticket!

I think Katie means from Heathrow to Central London in case anyone's
uncertain. It takes me about 50 mins from London Bridge to
Heathrow on the tube, costs a bit less than a fiver.
