High Cotton
Hi Everyone,
I've updated the Mike Trim Art blog with an image of the piece of
original art that will be auctioned for charity at Fanderson's Sector
25 Convention in October. You can see it here:

Enjoy,
Anthony

Thanks,

Most modern mobile phones will let you upload an MP3 and use that.

My phone lets me place an MP3 of the track as the ring tone for my phone - it's amazing how many people recognise the theme and talk to me about the show(!)

Jim,

And assuming that I can get one with these characteristic, is the same thing "a program that lets you convert mpegs to the phone" than this thing Dan say "My phone lets me place an MP3 of the track as the ring tone for my phone "? Sorry I'm not good for technological things (I still am in Stone Age), besides my english isn't good.

Thanks
Claudia

Original "Kill Straker" Dialog Continuity Script on eBay

Marc Martin

In reply to this post by High Cotton
Hi all,

There is an original "dialog continuity script" for the UFO
episode "Kill Straker" on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330021018708

Note that a "dialog continuity script" is merely a transcription
of the dialog in the finished episode, and is not the script
used to film the episode. The dialog continuity script is,
I guess, used to make foreign language versions of the show.
These are about 20 pages long, while a shooting script is closer
to 60 pages.

Note that I *had* been bidding on this script, but have now
given up, as the current high bid is over US$170 and the reserve
price has still not yet been met.

This auction ends in 2 days.

If anyone here is interested, happy bidding! (and make a
scan of it for the rest of us) :-)

Re: Original "Kill Straker" Dialog Continuity Script on eBay

Marc is right. This is very much an "after the event" record for foreign language dubbing purposes. It bears very little relationship to the script used for production. These dialogue scripts are usually considered by production to be a necessary evil required by the distributor. The preparation of these scripts is often farmed out to companies who specialise in such work. It is very unlikely that anyone intimately involved with production or even the creative side of post production will even have seen this script, of which dozens of copies were probably produced.

By all means bid on it if you wish, but at least be aware of how little it had to do with the making of the series.

Regards
John
