Minder.

Lieve
Hi guys,

I just noticed that a film with George Sewell is listed as being shown on
TV Three (in the UK), that's on Tuesday November 21st at 00:45. Name of the
thing is 'Minder' - it's listed as being a drama and its subtitle is
'Rembrandt doesn't live here any more'
The series 'The Detectives' (also with G.S.) is still showing regularly on
UK Gold, and 'Kaleidoscope' (also with G.S.) is still being repeated by the
various Sky Cinema channels. And of course the Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax
movie with Ed Bishop is still showing as well - on MovieMax. Don't they
ever stop these endless repeats? (If anyone answers that if they stop the
term 'endless' won't apply any more, I'll scream :-)

CU

Lieve

Minder was actually a TV series made in the '80s and starring
Dennis Waterman, who also played Detective Sgt Carter in (the
aforementioned) The Sweeney .. I don't remember an episode
with George Sewell in, but he did turn up on the telly an
awful lot in small parts in the '70s and '80s in particular.

If they stopped, they wouldn't be endless! :)

WATCH it James, you can't do that, cut off a part of my original posting!
SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

I wouldn't complain about endless repeats of UFO, BTW, I could do with a
few other good originals and we don't always get good reception of the BBC
here.

You're sure it's not West or East rather than North? :-)
(Sorry guys, private joke)

In another posting you wrote:

survives"! I'm not making this up, honest .."

Do explain WHAT skydiver! You don't want me to die of curiosity, do you?

No ........... :)

I actually don't remember reading past the headline but I think
by 'Skydiver' they were referring to one of those folks who like
to jump out of aircraft from a great height and free-fall for a
few minutes before opening their parachute.

I just did a search on the Telegraph's website and found a
few stories in a similar vein, but not from Saturday. Maybe
it was in the Times ..

Cheers
James
