Missing dialog from EXPOSED extended sequences

Marc Martin
Administrator
Hi All,

Fanderson's Chris Bentley supplied me & Jeff Smart with the
dialog that Fanderson came up with for the 2 extended EXPOSED
sequences on the Cartlon DVDs which are missing the audio.
This is based off of the original script, and he says that
Kofax might in fact be saying something different, because
his lips don't seem to match this dialog. The original
suggestion was that Carlton should include subtitles on
the DVDs for the missing audio, but for some reason Carlton
neglected to include this. I've also forwarded this dialog
onto A&E...

Marc

P.S. If we've got any lip-readers here, perhaps you can make
any necessary corrections to this dialog? Thanks!

--------------------------------------
Section 1: FOSTER AND KOFAX

SILENT SECTION 1 (after Kofax lights Foster's cigar):
(On KOFAX.)
KOFAX: Paul, I find myself with two hats..
(He lights his cigar. Cut to FOSTER. Cut back to KOFAX as he finished
lighting the cigar.)
KOFAX: ...one as President of the Ventura Aircraft Corporation, the other...
(Cut to FOSTER)
KOFAX (VO): ...as a friend of yours.
(FOSTER smiles slightly. Still on FOSTER.)
KOFAX (VO): Let's wear the friendly one.
(Cut back to KOFAX)
KOFAX: Now I want you to hear me out on this. Consider what I have to say.
(Cut to FOSTER)
FOSTER: I'm listening.
(Now back to sound)

SILENT SECTION 2 (after Foster's "My future?)
(On KOFAX at desk)
KOFAX: What you intend to do... I mean, what are your immediate plans?
(Cut to FOSTER)
FOSTER: Suggest something.
(Back to sound for KOFAX's "What I thought was that you should take a rest")

SILENT SECTION 3 (after dialogue above)
(On FOSTER)
KOFAX (VO): Let's say a couple of months. Until things level off. Let the
dust settle.
(Back to sound while still on FOSTER for KOFAX's VO "On full pay of
course.")

SILENT SECTION 4 (after KOFAX's dialogue about Foster never flying for him
again)
(On FOSTER)
FOSTER: Keep weaing that hat, Kofax. It suits you.
(Back to sound for Foster storming out.)
END SEQUENCE

--------------------
Section 2: FOSTER AND JACKSON

SILENT SECTION 1 (after Foster's "Where's the cine film from the XV-104?")
(On JACKSON) Laughs.
JACKSON: Your jet crashed in 20 fathoms.
(Cut to different angle as JACKSON opens his case)
JACKSON: It was quite a salvage operation.
(Resume previous angle)
JACKSON: Sea water plays havoc with photographic equipment.
(Cut to FOSTER)
FOSTER: That camera was dust proof, waterproof, shock proof...
(Cut to JACKSON)
FOSTER (VO): ...you name it.
(Back to sound for JACKSON's "As I was about to say...")

SILENT SECTION 2 (as Tsi comes in with the coffee after JACKSON's "Ah,
coffee.")
(Tsi offers coffee to FOSTER.)
FOSTER: No thanks.
(Tsi passes a cup to JACKSON)
JACKSON: Sugar, please.
(She passes him the sugar bowl and he takes two lumps for his coffee)
(Back to sound for FOSTER's "Look Jackson, let's stop fencing around.")

SILENT SECTION 3 (after break and establishing shot of jet)
(On FOSTER with back to camera)
FOSTER: So you switched the film.
JACKSON (VO): Did I?
(Cut to JACKSON)
JACKSON: You recognised that aircraft. We've checked. There was a military
jet flying in the area.
(Cut to FOSTER)
JACKSON (VO): You photographed it. But as you've just seen...
(Cut to JACKSON)
JACKSON: ...there's nothing else on that film, Foster.
(Back to sound)

SILENT SECTION 4 (after Tsi lets go of FOSTER)
(On JACKSON)
JACKSON: What colour are my eyes, Foster?
(Cut to FOSTER. Cut back to JACKSON)
JACKSON: You're a trained observer.
(Cut to FOSTER. Cut back to JACKSON)
JACKSON: Blue? Brown? Grey?
(Cut to FOSTER)
FOSTER: Bloodshot.
(Cut to JACKSON) He laughs.
JACKSON: If I told you one was grey and the other blue...
(Cut to FOSTER)
JACKSON (VO): ...would you believe me?
FOSTER: How about the one in the middle of your face?
(Cut to JACKSON)
JACKSON: Would you believe me?
(Cut to FOSTER) No response.
(Back to sound as JACKSON picks up the lighter)

Well, when/if I get the DVDs...which has to wait,
I'll read lips to let you know what they're
saying. If necessary, I'll also get a friend,
who's much better at it than I am to
double-check.

TAE (who's hoping for that promised promotion to
be able to feed her obsess...really focused interest)
