Moblies - Didn't they make a 1/1 scale model?

Does anyone know if they ever made a lifesize mock up of one of the
mobiles? I seem to remeber one episode where Col Foster was in getting
out of or infront of one.

As an side, how did Col. Foster ever get promoted to Col. when he was
just a civilian test pilot?

Well, he became part of the military when he joined SHADO .. and I
suppose as an unorthodox, special branch of the military, they had
the power to give out senior commissions to new recruits!

I don't remember seeing a scene with a Mobile and an actor in the same
frame .. actually I vaguely remember a conversation about this from
a few years ago. I think we concluded that part of a Mobile was never
actually shown in the same shot as an actor.
