Moonbase Egyptian girls & the 4 "last" episodes

shutt
Talking of the Moonbase female staff (I suppose calling them "the
Moonbase girls" is just a wee bit sexist unless you spell it
"Moonbase grrrrls"), when I saw the show on the original run, I
always thought those women were members of a friendly alien race who
were helping the humans resist the evil aliens. I never put it
together when they appeared on Earth wearing other wigs that they
were really humans just wearing exotic makeup, outfits and purple
wigs. I love Sylvia's explanation that the wigs were to counteract
the static electricity from all that equipment! Or something along
those lines ... Now that's a hot wig.

Love the "Roman" explanation of Straker's haircut. I read as an
undergrad that stoic came from "stoa" which was a sort of patio
outside a school building where the philosophers use to debate such
weighty topics as truth and human passion.

Meanwhile, I'm fantasizing about Paul Foster in an Egyptian kilt ...
and perhaps one of those charming jeweled necklaces the men used to
wear in ancient Egypt. He'd have to raid Gay Drake's dressing room,
though, for authentic male Egyptian eye makeup (anybody see that show
with Peter Woodward on the History channel a couple weeks back?)

Happy Moon-day all,

Steve

Re: Moonbase Egyptian girls & the 4 "last" episodes

Well I have to do something to keep busy while I'm waiting on the Lady of the
Abbey to write other than teaching our new agents like Lara Croft how to
shoot.

I was of the same opinion as Steve the first time I saw the promo for the
series that the Moonbase Girls were some friendly aliens on our side. I
found out different in the first episode when I watched the show. But what
exotic looking ladies they were. For that matter Ayshea in her white catsuit
was very exotic looking. Reminded me of a Egyptian statue that moved.

Still no one has talked about where they think Sylvia got the idea from.
Seeing Cleopatra repeatedly?

Wonder what I will stir up when I decide to talk about other hair and fashion
style of the series.

Thank ya, thank ya very much,
James K. has left the building.
