Thanks for the comments on "Battle Beneath the Earth"
By sheer coincidence, being an aficionado of B movies and 70's TV, my sister bought me the complete video collection of "Thriller" for Christmas, a series of one hour 'playlets' written by Brian Clemens of 'Avengers' fame. Produced by ATV aorund 1975-76, it was obvious from the start that they were vying for the American TV market by introducing at least one American, or occasionally Canadian, into the story to help sell it. It was full of all the regular ATV stalwarts, along with Anderson regulars and guest artists: Nyree Dan Porter, Peter Dyneley, Stuart Damon, Brian Blessed, Richard Vernon, Gabrielle Drake, Peter Bowles, Anthony Valentine, Catherine Schell, Tony Anholt... and Ed Bishop. If anyone would like to see a copy of the episode, let me know. Rob |
Hi,
would it be possible you upload it on the net so we can download it. Thanks in advance. No Problem You might find it a bit slow though without a Rapidshare account. http://rapidshare.com/files/441628424/Thriller_-_Nurse_Will_Make_It_Better__1976_.avi Rob --- In [hidden email], "giadepietro" <giadepietro@...> wrote: > > Hi, > would it be possible you upload it on the net so we can download it. > Thanks in advance. > Gia |

I received "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun" for Christmas, and finally
watched it again this morning. Done by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, starring Ed Bishop and a host of others you'll immediately recognize, featuring a lifting body-type space shuttle and modular air transport that eventually evolved into similar vehicles in the "UFO" series. It is a good B grade Sci-Fi movie from 1969. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064519/ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I get a "File too big for a Rapishare free download" error message.
I did do a search on kickasstorrent.com, but no resource available. I did however learn that it would be the Thriller Season 4 Episode 02. I verified with www.imdb.com and found a different title yet similar synopsis for that episode. Could it have been called "Nurse Will Make It Better" in the UK, and called "The Devil's Web" in the US. Both descriptions are of the same air date, and include Ed Bishop in the cast raster. "The Devil's Web" is simply an alternate name for the original "Nurse Will Make It Better" which was broadcast in the UK as part of the British "Thriller" anthology series (penned by Brian Clemens) on January 11th 1975, almost thirty six years ago exactly. Some years later the producers of the show decided to repackage each episode as a discrete TV "movie" with new opening and closing titles and music and sometimes - as in this case - a new episode title. The content is otherwise the same.
Incidentally Ed almost certainly voices an unseen and uncredited American gangland boss in the very final episode transmitted in Britain "Death in Deep Water". The repackaged version of this retained the original episode title. Ed did a lot of voice work in the UK after UFO, some of it uncredited as in this instance which makes it harder to track down. They are one and the same show, just re-branded for US release.
It is my upload, and pretty rare so I doubt you will find it anywhere else. I have set the download to free, so you shouldn't have any problem with restrictions now. Sorry, but I always rip DVD in high quality.
If it's too big, I can reduce it though. --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@...> wrote: > > > They are one and the same show, just re-branded for US release. > > It is my upload, and pretty rare so I doubt you will find it anywhere > > else. Rob,
Thanks for making this available. I prefer the highest quality possible so well done. I'm on a slow connection but I leave it chugging away for a couple of hours and *presto* David --- In [hidden email], "Rob" <tryptych@...> wrote: > > Sorry, but I always rip DVD in high quality. > If it's too big, I can reduce it though. > > --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@> wrote: > > > > > They are one and the same show, just re-branded for US release. > > > It is my upload, and pretty rare so I doubt you will find it anywhere > > > else.
