More UFO Replicas from Product Enterprises

Hi all,

The Space1999.org website has a short interview with Product
Enterprises, which had already announced an upcoming UFO
Moonbase Interceptor replica, but now it sounds like they'll
also be making a replica of Skydiver, a SHADO Mobile, and
the UFO itself:

What an excellent website about Space:1999. Nearly as good as yours
marc.

Interesting to see about a revival attempt. I'm not so sure that a
21st century audience would buy into a new series as we all know a
lot more about the phenomenal distances involved and the fact that
most of the universe probably doesn't speak english.

However I think the basic premise of Space:1999 could be used to make
a futuristic disaster movie. Perhaps entitled Space:2099 but this
time have more attention paid to scientific accuracy.

e.g The moon is blasted out of orbit by a nuclear explosion which
throws it into an eccentric orbit around the sun. Perhaps have a
deadline where the alphans need to escape before the moon gets too
close to the sun. With all the planetary slingshot acrobats performed
by modern spacecraft, this could be nicely woven in.
Also focus more on the effects such a disaster would have on the
earth, sudden loss of tides creating huge tidal waves etc.
