More info on Ed & Mike

Hi all,

SHADO-USECC's Helen Weber has talked to Jane Bishop and confirmed
the Fanderson story -- Ed had been in hospital with an illness,
but died suddenly on Tuesday of an unknown chest infection. A post
mortem is scheduled for Friday. Jane says that in lieu of flowers
we can send donations to one of Ed's favorite charities (more
info on that when I get it)

Also, I got an email from one of the team members for
mikebillingtonfans.com, who were aware of Mike's death
on Monday. There will be no obituary concerning Mike until
after the ceremony next week, as the family wants it very
private.

This is very sad news indeed.

I heard about Mike's death on Tuesday morning but was asked to keep quiet
about it until after an official announcement had been made.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Mike on a number of occasions;
the last time was when I helped look after him for a couple of days at his
last Memorabilia show at the NEC.

Mike was a great man with a wonderful sense of humour.

I also had the pleasure of briefly meeting Ed Bishop on a couple of
occasions.

The team at 'Mike Billington Fans' have also passed on the
