Hi all,
One thing I've been meaning to do for a while on my website is to
update the movie clips from the UFO episodes, since the DVDs have
higher quality than the old Japanese laserdiscs I used previously.
Also, video compression technology and computer playback capability
have improved since when I did this last back in 1999.
Here is an updated opening clip I just did -- this is in Quicktime:

file size (2.3 MB)!
I realize that using MPEG-1 would probably be more a more compatible
format, but I think to get the same sort of quality would require a
much larger file (like by a factor of 2 or 3), and I need to watch
the file sizes of the movie clips because of the large amount of
traffic they generate.
