NEW! Scans of Cards Inc. UFO Promo Cards!

Hi all,

I've just added scans of Cards Inc's set of UFO Promo cards to my
"Trading Cards" page:

I'm not exactly sure when these were released, but I saw them for
sale on eBay the other week for a reasonable price, so I bought them!
Note that on the backs of the cards, it states that the upcoming full
set will be "featuring a 72 card basic set, multiple bonus chase
levels and packed with stunning full-colour images!"

What's multiple bonus chase level???

It will be interesting if these cards ever get released. According to the
latest Upcoming Releases list on the Non-Sport Update site, Space:1999 has
been cancelled and UFO has been moved to the "To be Announced" column.

Trading cards have come a long way since the days when each pack contained a
bubble gum stick!

Base cards are cards that are seeded more than 1 per pack. In this case, the
base set will be 72 cards. They are also called "commons".

To add some spice and excitement to collecting cards, manufacturers have come
up with the "chase card" (or "chase subset") -- these cards are basically any
card that is seeded less than 1 per pack (for example, the odds for a chase
card may be 1 card in 36 packs of cards). They would include autograph cards,
costume cards (pieces of a costume worn for a production are inserted into the
cards) and other fancy cards such as die-cuts.

In the case of UFO, I think they are going to have autograph cards and costume
cards, therefore the "multiplie bonus chase levels". There might be other
chase subsets to complete but the two above are the ones I'm aware of now.
