NEW! TF1 DVD frame captures & audio clips!

Hi all,

On my UFO Series Home Page, I've just added some frame captures and
audio clips from the French TF1 UFO DVD's. I made it a point to add
things which would make the owners of the Carlton and A&E sets
envious... ;-)

Interesting indeed. What on Earth (no pun intended) was the singing
Sid sequence intended for? The Sylvia Anderson bit was fun, sounded
like Lady Penelope explaining the wigs!

If you read the original script for IDENTIFIED (on my website),
you can see that Moonbase Commander Desica had a "pet project" for
teaching SID to sing. This apparently was recorded for that,
although the whole concept was dropped when Desica was replaced
with Lt. Ellis.

I am becoming more and more grateful that Desica was consigned to oblivion.

At least they didn't have SID singing "A Bicycle Built For Two", but I
still find this entire notion extremely ominous...

I would've thought something like "Urban Spaceman" would've been more
apropos.

Well the scene from 2001 with HAL singing was still fresh in everyone's mind
when UFO was being planned(too fresh?) I guess. Thankfully, for more than
one reason<vbg> the Italian Capt. was assigned elsewhere. Otherwise I'm sure
someone in Fanfiction would have had SID annoucing an incoming UFO by singing
"Here You Come Again".

I'l just have to be more careful about mentioning dates I guess? The date
really isn't the title of the film. Those numbers also are a date. Without
the other words behind it its just a date. Did you flame everyone and thing
who sent you mail or anything else with those numbers in between Dec. 31,
2000 and Jan. 1, 2002? ROFL

ROFL!!!

Now there's a topic for a UFO fan fic. SID somehow gets its
programming mixed up with a BBC pop music station and starts singing
Shado versions of tunes.

You must finish the current story before beginning this one, Amelia....
