Nature of the Aliens

Well,while wer'e on the subject here's my fourpence worth.

I have always been of the view that the idea of Aliens from another planet
outside the solar system is actually a less compulsive and sinister concept than
the notion of a physical manifestation of the collective consciousness.

A response to our need for something to replace our demand for an enemy who
truly threatens us and gives added value and meaning to our lives,which in the
modern democratic era has become a little to comfortable.

In fact I see the whole UFO phenomena as something more akin to this.Alien in
every sense of the word,feeding on our collective desire for something
spiritual.As religion has become marginalised and our scientific view of the
world has taken centre stage,it is only understandable that we subconciously
invent a powerful,threatening and more advanced life form that may hold the key
to what is in fact a spiritual yearning cloaked in a veil of advanced alien
psycho pseudo technology.

There is clear evidence that the last 9 episodes of UFO were in fact moving
towards this kind of conception.This threat would naturally give us the
impression that it came from Space.Alien craft would manifest not only from just
outside our solar system but also from amongst the geographical features that
most resemble the deep recesses of the mind,from the sea's and oceans,from
within deep unfathomed lakes,impenetrable woods and mysterious mountain ranges.

The Alien menace is not concerned with simply defeating us ,they test
us,frighten us,drive us mad.They kill us,keep us awake and worry us.They instill
such paranoia and uncertainty because of their ability to seep into any part of
minds and our lives.Like the evil innocence of the damned they play with and
feed off our anxiety and fear.In Destruction they would create a poisoned world
and then pray on the dead to animate their physical form behind a suit of
silvered green crimson.

They fail,but our vulnerability is only too obvious.Let the public know of this
new enemy,an enemy that can open up the smallest crack and create a cavern of
deadly effect,and you have produced what Paul Foster described as a total
breakdown of authority.Mass panic on an unprecedented scale.This threat is
unpredictable,lethal,indiscriminate.It will strike anywhere,at anything.They
have no respect for authority for position,or for power,influence or
reputation.They will prey on a gangster or a politician,exploit a catholic
priest or muslim cleric.They will defile young women,tear the limbs and organs
from children.

This is an enemy worthy of the
name.Evil,persistant,pervasive,unyielding.Haunting every corner of our
existence.Yet it is unknown to us.As SHADO is a secret so to are the events that
are referred to merely as UFO incidents.Security is brutal and absolute.

The public must never know,because there is very great danger.The problem
is,this danger has no boundaries,no obvious next target.It does'nt think like
us,or act in a way we might expect.However there is some hope.Patterns emerge.It
is a question of detection. Of being alert to odd fortean occurences throughout
the world,that may indicate the onset of an Alien presence.

Is this an open attack on an obvious target or a more complex plan to test our
ingenuity and resolve.Is it a red herring a decoy or merely a probe or
impregnation that will wreck a life,cause panic,unrest a community.Or will it
simply invite a heavy security clamp down because a water supply has become
strangely contaminated due to the detection of a psychic field resulting in all
manner of wierd hallucinations and affectations.

They are an invisible enemy.There existence is denied.There are timings between
attacks.SHADO conducts itself routinely.There is family life,quiet
interludes,lunches,intense pressure and serious adherence to duty.There is
humour,mis-trust conflict and security,always tight security.But life
continues,interrupted periodically by terror and the spectre of death,punctuated
only by the bizzare,the wonderous and the deadly.

The Pluto Effect is my term for this better explanation of the concept of Alien
intervention.It is a term derived from 2 photographic glass plates exploring
that part of the night sky where it was anticipated a new planet was to be
found.

The second plate showed clearly that indeed a new pin point of light was moving
faster than the surrounding star fields.The new planet was named Pluto after the
God of the underworld.

Amazingly the first plate exposed only weeks or months before contained no
evidence of any new planet.It should have been there,but it was'nt!

We had in some strange way,oblivious to the complexity of creation invented
it.We expected to find it,our predictions said it would be there.Logic said it
had to be...and so it was,manifested by a sure and collective sense of
scientific expectation.

The trouble was it did not arrive alone,with it came a physical projection of
our deep subconcious.UFO's became fact.They are not only otherworldy,but
dark,mysterious,forbidding and yet fascinating.Pluto was a portent of their
arrival.The underworld is a darker reflection of that which exists above or in
front.

Can I ask? Have you based the theories that you have outlined purely on theUFO Series, or is this mapped or overlaid upon other beliefs that you may or may not hold about life, natural humane and innate fear of he unknown ingeneral.

Personally, I must admit that although I am a huge massive fan of UFO and Gerry Anderson's production in general, and they have played a huge part of my life, I do nonetheless hold TV shows such as UFO in a "UFO reality distortion bubble" in its own reality universe, and also because of the numerouscontradictions, technical and factual inaccuracies (impossibilities), continuity etc. To get round all of these problems, I just love the show, take all of these issues on-board, and somehow accept the fact that in the "UFO universe" all these things, contradictions are true and possible.

I actually do not believe in UFO's at all, little green men. I do not believe that the Earth has been visited, or Humans are an experiment planted in the past by visitors. I DO HOWEVER believe that we are not the only sentient life forms in the Universe. Given the vastness of space, it would be a statistical improbability of huge proportions.

One day, given the vastness of space, we might get factual clues that that there are lifeforms out there in the deep distance, but knowing this is onething, doing anything about it is another. Given humans' suspicion, and fear of the unknown maybe this is for the best.

It isn't that long that the world was gripped by the cold war; fear of the dreaded Russians... who were they, what did they want, what did they possess??? Gerry Anderson has said on many occasions that UFO and many of his shows were about fear of the unknown, and played on this... the second world war and the 'cold war' were great influences on him and his work...

Time has moved on, but not that much... one only has to listen to the news to confirm that. Human nature is still very much in its infancy.

Wow Mark, a great interpretation, some do you mind if I add my dime

In a weir enuff universe where electrons appear and disappear routinely andeven nuclei as well, just not usually at the same time, and If I understand you correctly

These beings manifest to us from some hidden place, one thing they do is Consume us, oh not all things ,usually ,at the same time, bits and pieces here and there, usually
replacing what they need, when they want, reminding us that for all our vaulted beliefs and wonderful accomplishments we are simply not the top of whatever chain or heirarchy we want to believe in

like we were really ever top of any foo chain, ask the bacteria and critters that consume your flesh after you are gone

in the UK IIRC you really dont have much memorey or experience in that, maybe a feral dog, or  ALIEN BIG CAT (ABC), lol
but here in the states  we can if we seek it out, or my sheer accident can be reminded of that often,
i've faced down black bear rushes, or ran full out from a grizzly chasing me, watched in fascination as wolves brought down a large deer and realized that if they didnt fear me, it could happen to me, I know a family whose child was attacked by a cougar and fortunately not mauled, and spent a terrifying night with something smelly and large rummaging around my camp late one night in the cascades, gods I hate camping,
nope we are not top dog, or head huncho, but just another morsel, or tool to be used for another benefit,
if the aliens had appeared enmasse earleir in the history of man, would we be treated like cattle?

another facet is that technological society consumes the world that it lives on, the aliens are surmised to come from a world they trashed, hmmm

predator, prey or parasite, the aliens are so much like us, with alittle make up...they could be us, or ARE us like some have shown
