Subject: Skydiver Kit
Hello
I thought you would like to know that Monsters In Motion are selling a
"new" Skydiver kit.
The kit is essentially a retooling of the old Wave Vinyl kit. But it has
been done very nicely using a pressure resin moulding technique, which
results in some nice detail. The larger parts are resin hollow cast. I
would go as far as saying it is actually easier to build than the Wave
kit (the vinyl proved horrible to manipulate at times) Though they still
have not quite managed to entirely get round the tricky hull joint at
the real of the craft. But the hull being cast in one piece does have
it's advantages.
The kit has been retooled, so Sky 1 has proper glazed canopy and reveals
some cockpit detail. It is FAR FAR better than some horrible Skydiver
kits doing the rounds at the moment.
I would suggest anyone with moderately good modelling skills should be
able to make a nice replica.
the kit also includes a nice decal sheet no were near as expansive as
the Wave decals but nice non the less nice.
The kit retails at $150 plus post and can be bought on-line from
www.monstersinmotion.com
They turned my order around in less than two weeks, over the Christmas
break, and I live in England
Cheers
Russell
