Heh, with all the new UFO stuff that has come out in the past year, I guess we shouldn't be surprised by that.

It's been an incredible year for UFO.

I would venture to suggest that it hasn't had this much attention and product (certainly not in the UK!) since it was first aired!  

CDs, trading cards, books, Blu-rays, new filmed interviews with primary and supporting cast members and crew, previously unseen and unknown photos!  And now we have the announcement that there should be a convention next year.  

No, it hasn't been better than this since 1971.

What makes it stranger is that I'm not exactly a new fan - more a re-awakened one. But in what was indeed a very good year for UFO matters, that's curious in itself

I saw some of UFO when it first came out, but because of the mangled schedule I couldn't really digest it. That changed a few years later when the DVDs came out; but by then RL had a tight hold on me, and beyond buying the DVDs and watching a few of them, I put UFO on my back-burner.

And there it stayed, until a year  or so ago. I looked at the boxes on the shelf, thought 'time I had another go', and settled down to a serious box-set session.

Then I looked at my computer...................... and thought 'Now is the time to sort out that plot I've been brewing for the last (ahem!) years. The creative bug took my by the throat.. and I was lost.

(That particular plot is still being written...)
