Just seen the first episode; the tv listings said it would be on at
9:25am, but it wasn't...the show was broken up and sandwiched in the
Ministry of Mayhem Saturday morning kids' show. So I had to put up
with inane screeching, gunging studio guests, crappy boy bands, more
screeching before we got to the show.
Wow, I was impressed. Good action, a bit more backstory on how
Scarlet became indestructable, they didn't change the designs too
much and it was reassuring to see that David Lane was directing.
The only things I thought were a bit of a dissappointment were the
voices; the voice of Scarlet is pretty non-descript. The incidental
music was OK, but there's no stand out theme like Barry Gray could
do. Overall, it's a good update and in keeping with the spirit of
the original.
