Hi all,
The second photo I've uploaded from UFO fan Joe Occhiuto is a nice black & white portrait of Paul Foster. I don't think I've ever seen this shot before, so perhaps it's a rare one? Here's the link: http://ufoseries.com/straker Thanks Joe! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

Is it me or is there some sort of mole or growth growing out of the side of Foster's left nostril? This one is so close up if he were smiling you could tell what he had for lunch! : -) <ducking again!> : -) |

I'll have to add kapok and some silk fabric to my shopping list for Inverness tomorrow! Sheila (in a daze like she's been given a shot of one of Jackson's drugs) |

Hey! I thought I gave you several days notice -- enough time to even get those Kerplop cushions dry-cleaned! :-) -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

It almost looks like Ed is about to do a Billy Idol/Elvis lip thing doesn't it? This is fun! I went to a media convention/signing show last Saturday. I'll write up a bit of a report and post it here (Some off topic stuff). One small note, I bought two John Muir books at the con. He wrote the Exploring Space 1999 book a few years ago and was a major guest at last years Main Mission 2000 Space 1999 convention in NYC. (Major meaning he was the glue that made the panel discussions rise above the, "What's your favorite episode" question you hear at every con) Anyway, these 2 books examine Blakes 7 and Battlestar Galactica. They were review copies and I got them super cheap! I'm reading the BSG one and John spends a lot of time comparing the show to UFO! If I have the time I'll type up his remarks. I'm not a great fan of BSG but I did enjoy his Space 1999 book and it was great meeting him in NYC. The BSG book follows the same model as the Space 1999 one except it's a bit better written. The remarks about UFO are interesting, he cites specifically CCOAK and AQOP. He is also very critical of BSG and I find myself agreeing with him much of the time. The only fault so far (I'm up to page 56) is he still trashes Babylon 5! |
