Just wanted to drop a note and say Hi. I'm new to this group but
have been a UFO fan for a long time. I first saw UFO when I was 5
years old back in '72 and I've loved it ever since. My interest was
rekindled in April when we were cleaning out my grandmother's house -
I found my old Viewmaster with the UFO episode "Close Up" and that
led me to buy the DVD sets. I had seen every episode except "The
Long Sleep" which I now know was banned because of the LSD trip.

I also have been reading some of the stories in the SHADO library
and they're awesome - particularly Denise Felt's Conover saga - I no
longer read the newspaper on my lunch break. Hopefully the stories
will keep coming!

Welcome badass!

I had one of those viewmaster reels also, and for almost 30 years it and
two Robert Miall books was the only record I had of UFO. Like you, I saw it
only as a little kid back in '72, and was starving for it ever since.
Luckily, the great Marc Martin took time off from his racing career and
steered me towards a great set of videotapes and I've been floating ever
since.

Hey Dave, badass and all - I have the View master reels and one Robert Miall
book plus the signed cards ATV in the UK sent me when I wrote asking for
autographs. I have both Ed Bishop and Mike B. I recently asked Mike B. if
they really signed those picture cards back then and he said yes and to hang
on to those cards as they were genuine.
