New People & List Anniversary

I'd just like to add my "welcome!" to our new list members Sarah &
Gary -- glad to have you here!

I see that this list is now up to 111 members, or only about 50 less
than before we moved to egroups, but I think we're now getting new
members at a higher rate, so I suspect that in a few months we'll be
back in the 150-200 range.

Also, I see we're rapidly approaching another list anniversary -- way
back on 24 August 1994 is when I started the "FAB-UFO" mailing list,
of which this list is a continuation of. So we're about to hit our 6
year anniversary, and amazingly the discussions are still going
strong! In fact, with the possibility of UFO to be released on DVD
in both the UK and USA next year, the best times may still be ahead
of us!

So Gary you are the same vintage as me uh? 1961 what month may I ask? Me I
am July 15th 1961.

Too right Sarah, Commander Straker/Ed Bishop is the greatest! sigggghhh what
a guy. Timelash eh? <g> If you like the dishevelled look then there is
plenty of mussed up Strakerness around...Sub Smash, Mindbender,....ah bliss!
You certainly have excellent taste my dear;-)

Me I have loved UFO for 29 years. There I was a little girl all starry eyed
watching these gorgeous specimins of manhood...Ed, Mike, George &co...but
especially Ed and LOL I came out the other side a woman<g>

It does not seem possible that I have been on this list now for a year come
the 30th August! Ah in those days I had not met the ever adorable Mr
Bishop;-) Golly what a lot of fun I have had since then!

August 3rd 1961 was my big day. My parents haven't been the same since.

On the character front I have to say Straker was definitely the guy I would
like to be in that series. Mind you, without wanting to appear sexist,
Gabrielle Drake was most definitely the "gal" I'd like to meet. I was a lot
younger then.

Huh uh! Straker is cool! Gay is frosty I like Joan. But I can understand the
attraction. Bet you liked the changing room scene<g>
