Well, I'm back.. Chapter 5 of Moonlight posted for anyone who is following it. I saw Identified om the big screen in HD.. fabulous! and went to Alan Shubrooks talk about UFO Special effects. I will now look at the launch of Sky 1 in a completely new way! Unfortunately very few UFO models on display, but I did photograph them .. I'll post those later, if they are any good. Had 6 of my art pieces up which was great. David Graham signed one of Parker and Shane Rimmer one of Scott Tracy. So I am home with very pleasant memories.. and now to persuade Chris Thompson (Thunderbirds 2010) to do a UFO film! Also finally managed to complete a pic of Straker looking into his glass sphere! Ian Fryer wrote a superb article on 'The Women of Ed Straker' and gave me permission to put it onto the Shado Writers Forum.. which I will be starting to do today; http://www.shadolibrary.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl Lightcudder....worn out but very happy! http://lightcudder.weebly.com/ --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@...> wrote: > > > Chapter 4 of Moonlight posted . Did you notice if it was in widescreen, or the usual 4:3 size? > Alan Shubrooks talk about UFO Special effects. I will now look at the launch > of Sky 1 in a completely new way! Hopefully somebody recorded this? No news on the UFO film? Glad to hear you had a good time! Marc |
Hi Marc.. I think... and I am only guessing here, that Identified was in usual 4;3 size.. ie.. the same as on the DVD.. It seemed just the same, no truncated shots if that's what you mean. But the quality was superb..
I am pretty sure someone videoed Alan Shubrook. Doubtless Fanderson will know! The only slight disapppointment was the Barry Gray Concert.. a mish-mash of UFO music and not very 'true' to the original sound..but I am incredibly pernikety about music, so it might have been just me..( except that Brian Blessed was commentating..) need I say more?? Too loud and too over the top! --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@...> wrote: > > > I saw Identified om the big screen in HD.. fabulous! > > Did you notice if it was in widescreen, or the usual 4:3 size? > > > Alan Shubrooks talk about UFO Special effects. Sorry Marc, it was widescreen , but I didn't notice any reduction in the quality.. It was SOOOOOOO good in HD and on a huge screen. Really detailed! Made me realise that I tend to watch the episodes very 'carelessly' . without paying sufficient attention to those details that are important.
I have determined to sit down this week and watch as many as I can.. ! --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@...> wrote: > > > Hi Marc.. I think... and I am only guessing here, that Identified was in > > usual 4;3 size.. |

Yes, I have many UFO episodes in HDTV on a media player, and there are indeed "little details" that I had never noticed before from watching the DVDs. I don't think it's "careless" viewing, but rather these little details are much more obvious in HD. Marc |

Moonlight is now complete with author's notes. http://lightcudder.weebly.com/moonlight-and-vodka-series.html I am editing the next story in The Rachel Chronicles (AfterMath) and I'll start posting that next week. A very dark and apocalyptic story. Great fun to write! The earlier Rachel Stories are here; http://lightcudder.weebly.com/ufo-the-rachel-chronicles.html LtCdr. |
Okay, yet another one. Sorry! Chapter each day ( hopefully!)
AfterMath ( yes it does have a capital letter in the middle!) http://lightcudder.weebly.com/aftermath.html It is the next in The Rachel Chronicles.. although Rachel does not actually appear in the story. (and you need to read the dates carefully to make sense of it!) Merrily busy rewriting Dark Matters.! That will be next!
