Some more translated text from what I imagine is a news page...

Decision version of "Mystery Disk UFO" Magazine published by Mr. Anno in the release band Comment, talk event is instantaneous
It is on sale May 6th.

Material collection of SF special effects drama masterpiece "Mystery Disk UFO", also known as "Mysterious Disk UFO Complete Data Collection" will be released by Yoizumi company. It is scheduled to be released on May 6, and the price is 3800 yen (excluding tax).

The staff of "Thunderbird" gathered again, the same work of precise special effects video is highlighted. Unlike "Thunderbird" where the character was a doll, it is characterized by screen combining special effects and live-action actors. It was broadcasted in Japan from 1970 to 1971.

"Complete documentation" contains several interviews with the surviving staff by Stephen Lalibie. Steven got funds from Cloud Funding in 2015 and produced a new episode of "Thunderbird" in the same way as in the 1960s. Also, in addition to the large number of first-time steel photographs posted, posted commentary on works by Yasushi Kishikawa who also has names as editors posted. It is a book of fan donation (SUISHO).

The work is also known to have had a tremendous impact on Japanese creators. Among them, it is famous that the opening of white characters on black background and the depiction of Earth Defense Organization "SHADO" to repel UFOs later influenced the opening of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and the organizational image of Nerf.

I had to smile...

When I looked again at the Japanese Amazon page for this, the bit where it says 'products often purchased together' showed the UFO book and a couple of guns!  OK, they were probably toy guns or for use with a computer game, but I still had to smile...

"Ain't no Aliens gonna get their hands on my ass, no sir!"

Here are a couple of very lengthy customer reviews (and a shorter one!) from the Japanese Amazon site...

There are those who are critical as decorative skills, books with a sense of deceitfulness
, but basically, I also agree. There is no pun on "This is it!"
Besides, as a special-effects photo book of "Mystery Disk UFO" to be published in 2017, I
still use a famous clothes photograph of Lieutenant Ellis in the cover, odd editorial
smell in a bad meaning drifts, I do not mind. "How about you?"

Certainly Lieutenant Ellis = Gabriel Drake is one of the great attractions of "UFO".
Everyone loves it. There are no dislikes. I know such a thing. But why do
you want to publish the cover of this large format photo book entitled 'Complete documentation'?
It is not a doujinshi. Moreover, the photograph itself was posted many times in the past, it is not uncommon thing.
How much is Shaun Young's wonderful, in the material book of "Blade Runner"
, will you leave Deckard and make it the cover of her only? It is the same thing. Even if a newly discovered photograph of a skipping is found,
her photographs are suitable for processing in the text, and if we think that there is this book on the existence of past photo collections,
correct the collar more , instead of her strip photo, a TV show called "the mystery of the disc UFO"
orthodox photo represents, Toka stray car commander, Toka SHADO mechanism to UFO or face to flying,
and not those holding that kind of basic It should not be. To take
care of full-fledged publishing , things to do are obsolete, like curiosity like exit tobacco, and we are lowering the value of this book by ourselves.  Contents, those with more than one ITC = UFO related books, especially those with visual based books, have a particularly unusual photo of headache. In other words, it is the logic that it can be said that it is perfect for fans who do not have related books until then, but to that extent the quality of the photograph is not accompanied. Although it is being forcibly prolonged or it is originally out of focus or if it is said that it can not be helped, it seems like a painful excuse. There are too many pages that I am not looking for and scary. I feel that it is the responsibility of the editor Yasushi Kishikawa. For example, there is a thing called Mr. Kishikawa's "Showa Monster Picture Advertisement Kajida Tatsuji Art Book Collection", but although it is only necessary to scan photographs at a print shop, such as an illustration page for the second half note, cost savings or something, I feel irregular, I can not stand it. Obviously, it is inferior to quality. Like it, I feel halfway, I do not feel refreshed . At least, past mecks, that is, related related books by classic photolithography technology, do not get frustrated visually. I do not understand myself at all about why this quality will be obtained with such a high-class and expensive photo album . I think that precision and density of books, especially visual series of photographs has decreased as digital prepress, but this is a good (bad) sample. There is no such thing in Guradoru photo books etc, so it should not be a technical general theory.  Also, Mr. Kishikawa handles a lot of books and photographs of this hand, but I receive a feel somewhere I have not done. It feels like I'm skillfully choosing something like this, that one, this way . The atmosphere of such an invisible part becomes a strange odor, and it feels like it smells out of such a wonderful book named this "complete document collection" . If these books are to be published on a regular basis, they do not know at all and rarely have opportunities to feel that they are wasteful. Rather, if you make an amount from 4,000 yen , it may be better to collect past publications . It was such a book.

I received it on May 4th. A4 version modified version, sideways opening, 190 pages high quality magazine. If it is a fan of this program, I think that it is a book that everyone wants to purchase. The first half consists of sharp and large-sized photographs of characters and intersections, sky divers, Luna carriers, shadow mobile, SID and so on as possible as possible and color and black and white, making it a highly documentable editorial The original early sketches and photos of Prop are also abundantly posted. In addition, the guest mecha is also covered up with savory items such as Seagull X Ray, Mobile Carrier, Shadow Car (including Sub Type), Shadow Jeep, Soviet Private Vehicle, Satellite Launch Vehicle, and B - 142 Satellite. Particularly favorable this time is 3 shots of special vehicles that carry shadow mobile and shadow car pictures of Foster. Strongly, if you have difficulty in finishing branches and leaves, there is no posting of shadow jet and UVO, SID repair shuttle, moon thunder and that all the photos in the second half are monochrome. Regarding the publication photographs, it is likely that the sources of the materials are limited as to the lack of TV programming over 40 years ago, in terms of duplication with the past books, and even if there were duplicate pictures with past photo books, right. The books published on "The Mysterious Disk UFO" are out of print and difficult to obtain, and at Amazon it is expensive (32800 yen including "Mysterious Disk Super Encyclopedia" etc.) as it is now Publishing is as pleasant as it is. <A In the latter half, a few pages were devoted to the interview of Mike trim which was involved in the production at the time of making the episode guide, and the state of the studio at the time and the work with the master Derek Meddings special effects director were told vividly ing. Introduction It is interesting that the process of the design of the mechanical design and the process of making the model are described in detail. Other interesting episodes about David Lane, David Elliott, Bob Bell were also very interesting. At the beginning of the production, the confusion caused by change of screenplay and change of casting was stated, the influence that the dialogue of Frank de la Rosa of the moon base commander was dismissed and the dialog and the appearance scene of Gabriel Drake of Ellis increased Appeared. In Ed Bishop's comment, "Sylvia Anderson checked Ed Bishop's hairstyle and makeup carefully to make an image of a streaker" or "Moon-based cat suits design and glossy wigs, futuristic fashion is her Anyway, Jerry's autobiography treats Silvia as a bad guy, but when he read the opinions of the performers and the staff, Anderson and his wife and the appearance cast and production staff got all the power to become a high-end program Also, after the completion of 17 episodes, US IT C executives cast out casting and contents to Rougrayide based on audience rating in the United States, George Sewell, Gabriel Drake and other performers were brought down, and in the second season, The details of the change to the plan of "space 1999" are also touted in detail. Although I have not completely read it yet, I can assert that it is definitely one of the highest standards in the books on this program that have been issued so far. Again, the quality of the content of the sentence is outstandingly high, which is the most important point of this publication. If only the size and sharpness of the photo is merely it is possible to find any number of vivid pictures on the Internet at present. I also own "Thunderbird Photo Book", "Tokuma Town Mook Mysterious Disk UFO", "The Complete of UFO", "Mysterious Disk UFO Daizensho" and others, even if I own these documents, I still buy this book I think there is much value. In the case of Japanese writers so far, the mistake and imagination entered due to lack of original information and interviews with the staff involved in the production at that time tended to be inaccurate, small old and yellowish photographs Many were seen. (Although we should recognize the merit of commercializing only that book in the era without the Internet) it is unlikely that it will be exposed to criticism from enthusiasts because it is the latest publication, but young British Stephen Jerry Anderson's research writer, Lalibie, actually wrote to the staff involved in the production of the program, was written based on the primary information, and the achievement that Mr. Yasushi Kishikawa familiar with overseas SF drama was edited and translated into Japanese was great I think that. Also, I'm not a translator of publishing in English-speaking countries, I want to be happy and honestly delighted to be able to read such wonderful materials in Japanese in product planning in Japan! UFO "," Mysterious Disk UFO Daizensho "others, but I think that there is much value in purchasing this book even if you own these similar books. A fulfilling data collection rarely seen in recent years! It is!

However, I am a little worried about the next two points.

First of all, it is the display of the organization name on pages 82 and 102. Whereas the deployment of the organization name UFoeDo in pre-production on page 102 is being firmly British spelled as Unidentifed Foe Defense Organization, the development of SHADO on page 82 is the US spelling as Supreme Headquarteres Alien Defense Organizastion. It is disappointing that I saw things that were unified around this perfectly in all items released in the past in the past.

Next, although I felt it was strange, it means that there are almost no special contributions or contributions of people called enthusiasts and collectors all over the world. There are still pictures of Mr. Phillip possessing Sky 1 this time, but there is nothing stand out other than that. Especially, I love the work of UFO as the main member of ISOSHADO, and now I just head down to not having participation of Mr. Paolo Maragutti, Italian high judo judge who continues to disseminate the thought of the work all over the world.
