Some new video releases on Blu-ray disc?  Some other
new mechandise, books, etc.?

I have heard of one such item, but I have not yet seen
it officially announced...

Oh, actually I see that I'm referring to something that was posted on the Fanderson
Facebook group about a year ago, so that wasn't shared with me in private --
I am referring to a post from Stephen La Riviere, author of "Filmed in Supermarionation",
who said that he was currently writing a book about UFO.  Now, assuming it takes
a year to write a book and another year to get it published, then maybe we'll see
this book sometime in 2014.

Thanks, but it might be difficult to come up with something
that hasn't already been done before.  Although I do recall
that there was a really impressive (to me) book on
THE PRISONER (can't remember which one offhand) that
could be used for inspiration.

Plus, one would have to get their hands on the photos that
we can see online as thumbnails at Rex Features.

Yes, I guess we would have to establish what exactly is wrong with the UFO
books that have been made already, besides them all being out of print, and
besides most of them being in Japanese.  :-)

Or more precisely, what would you do differently than what Chris Bentley
did with the Complete Guide to Gerry Anderson's UFO?

 -- more quotes from the people who worked on the series (in many cases
    we'd have to rely on what was said at previous conventions, since so
    many of them have passed away, but one could seek out new material
    also)

-- more color photos, with an emphasis on ones that have not been
   circulating on the Internet

I would assume that these photos are the property of ITV,
and would not need to be purchased from Rex.  After all, the copyright holders
provides scans of photos to people who are making licensed merchandise
(e.g., for photo galleries in DVD releases).

Although I probably own enough UFO photos right now to fully illustrate
any UFO book... :-)
