New frame captures

williams_lisac
I've just uploaded the UFO frame captures which will be available for the
next five weeks. The episodes on display now are "E.S.P." and "The Sound
of Silence". The set of 117 images from "The Sound of Silence" is new to
the library.

The UFO frame capture library can be found at:
http://framecaplib.com/ufolib.html .

Assorted snarky comments I jotted down while working on "The Sound of Silence":

Nice eyeliner on Straker and Foster. (What was their makeup person
*thinking* during these latter episodes? Looks like they're made up for
stage, not camera.)

Does this one drag, or what? The pacing seemed v-e-r-y s-l-o-w.

Why can't that girl keep her hair out of her face? There *are* barrettes
and things, you know.

This is yet another episode which seems to have happened mostly in the
dark. Haven't they even got electric lights in their damned stable? (Yes, I
get irked trying to do frame captures when I can barely see a picture --
it's nearly impossible to get a halfway decent capture.)

The grey horse was pretty well trained, but the cueing was too visible when
the guy was getting it to rear up.

And why is it that filmmakers seem to think horses have some sort of reflex
which makes them whinney any time they rear? They don't normally whinney
when they're nervous or frightened, anyway; they snort, if they make any
sound at all.

When cutting into what may be an explosive device, is it really very smart
to have the two top-ranking SHADO officers standing right there, hovering
over it?

It struck me as unnecessary to drag the girl to SHADO HQ. She certainly got
tarted up for the occasion, though. And this daft chick just lets strange
men inject her with stuff, without so much as asking a question or making a
protest?

I've never been sure what Foster was up to in that final scene. Was he
doing a routine check to make sure the amnesia drug worked? (And I suppose
they must have rounded up the father and worked him over as well.) Or was
it just the memory of Anne in that décolleté red dress that lured him?
