The UFO Episode guide section
(http://www.shadolibrary.org/actors/characters.shtml) is nearly complete - each episode has a photo listing of each character, including as many background people as I could get good frame-caps of. (the current count is 357 different characters.) Deb The SHADO Library & Archives (http://www.shadolibrary.org/index.shtml) Active since 1997. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
WOW! That's an outstanding piece of work.
Thank you SO much, I use the SHADOLibrary a great deal for reference. :) Griff --- In [hidden email], "Deborah Rorabaugh" <momkat@...> wrote: > > The UFO Episode guide section > (http://www.shadolibrary.org/actors/characters.shtml) is nearly complete - > each episode has a photo listing of each character, including as many > background people as I could get good frame-caps of. Thank you - and if you happen to see duplicates in the Operatives - just let
me know. It seems that many of the extras show up in different episodes and it's sometimes hard to tell if they've already been caught. :-) Deb The SHADO Library & Archives (http://www.shadolibrary.org/index.shtml) Active since 1997. _____ From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of griffwason Sent: Thursday, June 30, 2011 11:24 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [SHADO] Re: New in the SHADO Library WOW! Well, most of them are generic operatives in the background. And the number
doesn't include one horse, two dogs and one Siamese cat with a bad attitude. _____ From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Yuchtar Sent: Friday, July 01, 2011 4:41 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [SHADO] New in the SHADO Library 357 characters?? <gawp> Wow. That's discrimination! Man, I hate that episode because at the end, you can tell someone was holding that cat up close to the camera, making him meow - he was mistreated. Poor baby. I would NEVER let em use one of my Siamese babies for a show like that. I remember the horse and one dog, but not sure about the other dog. ------------------------------------------------------- Matt wrote: > The bigger the attitude, the better the cat! *grin* Well, Siamese always have an attitude, but mine have always had very affectionate personalities. There was a dog in Square Triangle, one that died in Sounds of Silence.
The animals are in the database. I am missing Croxley's gray cat, though. And the guy shaking the cat deserved all the scratches he no doubt got. Maybe we can hold a contest to name Croxley's gray cat? *grin* _____ From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Yuchtar Sent: Friday, July 01, 2011 6:14 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [SHADO] New in the SHADO Library Deborah Rorabaugh wrote: > Well, most of them are generic operatives in the background. Darn, I just watched that ep, too. Can't remember hearing a name for
Croxley's cat. Wasn't he a black cat, though? My memory really sux these days. <sigh> I remembered the dog that died. Time to rewatch, yes it is. I absolutely HATE the eps Cat With Ten Lives and have refused to watch it, even tho I have it on the A&E DVD copies of UFO. In fact, that eps bothered me so much for so many years that I eventually came up with a thread in my own fanfic stories with GOOD Siamese cats to counter that scenario. Having been a cat-owned person all my life, and esp devoted to Siamoos, I highly resented any storyline which made cats out to be alien pawns or worse. I think it was THE weakest of the 26 eps and should never have made at all. The premise is even more stupid than my own fanfic stories trying to rectify the situation. In fact I've received fanmail over my cat-threads from other cat lovers who told me they too resented the CWTL eps!

You're not the only cat lover who hates that ep. Overall, there are so many
holes in that story. like Regan was put back on duty without being cleared by the doctors first. He'd been picked up by the ALIENS for Pete's sake. What part of the standard protocol against 'alienation' did they throw out that day? _____ From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Pam McCaughey Sent: Saturday, July 02, 2011 12:56 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [SHADO] New in the SHADO Library I absolutely HATE the eps Cat With Ten Lives and have refused to watch it, even tho I have it on the A&E DVD copies of UFO. Straker was in dumbs**t mode that day. The look that Lake gave him when he ordered Regan back to duty was telling. She gives him a similar look in The Psychobombs! The lady was not pleased!
I'm a cat owner/lover and I never liked this episode either and that was before I realized that the crew had to have mistreated the poor kitty. One hopes the person that was holding the cat got a good case of cat scratch fever. --- In [hidden email], "Deborah Rorabaugh" <momkat@...> wrote: > > You're not the only cat lover who hates that ep. Hello all, For those who bought the pistol kit out there THANK you. Individual sales exceeded my expectations. I did not pour enough kits. The last three will ship hopefully this weekend. The Ebay sale did not go well - so this will end the kit run. I posted pics of the modified cut down version with the short flash hider. If anyone needs help trying the modification on their kit or want a second kit for both versions - email me directly - or follow the pics on the RPF forum thread. It took about ten minutes to make the modifications. [hidden email]. Here is a link to the Prop Build Thread with updates and pictures. Originally I was not happy with kit and wanted to tweak it. When it came out and I actually built one - I loved it. I was worried because this was my very first project and kit, that it might not meet the high standards UFO fans have about collectables. I should have had more confidence. I am proud of the final product. I was surprised to see that more friends on the RPF Forum were interested than SHADO group fans. I guess prop collectors are different than general fans. I think the Gerry Anderson pistols are just as cool at the Skydiver, Interceptor, or UFO itself. Some sent emails of support after reading some of the posted comments on the thread. To those kind people - THANK YOU. You are what makes UFO fans GREAT - kind souls with a big heart. http://www.therpf.com/f9/gerry-anderson-ufo-tv-series-shado-pistol-replica-build-94401/index4.html#post1749940 Thank you all for your support. On to the next UFO weapons project. The molds will be retired. Gordon [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
