Don,t hear this kind of news on the board to often.A person who actually spoke to Derek Meddings on a normal day to day basis.
My fascination for UFO originated from my obsession with
the model UFO he created for the series.Its design and construction not only convinced me that Derek Meddings was a great designer but also a minature effects genius.

Good to hear from someone who worked within the industry who also loves UFO.

Until about a month ago there was a 'SHADO Store' selling 'SHADO Gear' on
the cafepress.com site.

I contacted the site owners after the page disappeared, and received a
response indicating that the vendor has ceased operations.

Wondering if anyone bought merchandise from them, and if it was in any way
"official" or just a knock-off?

If anyone has any contact information with the vendor, I wouldn't mind
receiving it privately as I was on the verge of placing an order when the
site went down (those SHADO boxer shorts looked irresistible!).

I hope it's not too late for a purchase - it would be terrible if Straker
got to them first with his acoustic pistol!

It's too late -- they were shut down for selling unlicensed goods.
