Hi all,
I just got this exciting message from Paolo Malaguti, Marco Raffa, and Paolo Brandimarte: ----- NEWS FROM ISOSHADO We are preparing an extensive photographic reportage of the recent trip of Paolo Malaguti to England. Our "supervisor" has been invited for lunch by the legendary Sylvia Anderson at the Pinewood studios, and has taken the opportunity of a long tour in the studios, where he has visited the locations which have been used as the setting of several UFO episodes. It has been a fascinating journey to discover the places that any UFO fan has dreamt to visit at least once in his/her life. Thereafter our supervisor attended the Eclectic 21 convention, held from May 25th to May 27th in Leicester. Besides various guests from the show biz, the two leaders of our club were present: Ed Bishop (Commander Ed Straker) and Michael Billington (colonel Paul J. Foster). Among the guests, the names of Phil Rae and David stood out: they have organized a remarkable exhibition of original studio models used in UFO, Space 1999, Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds, Stingray, etc. Another notable guest was Jeff Smart, the director of the eagerly awaited video "The future was fantastic", of which he showed a preview. He has been working for three years to prepare this exciting documentary, dedicated to the Gerry Anderson's TV productions, which will also include some contributions from ISOSHADO. We will soon release an extensive report of this exciting ISOSHADO mission in the UFO homeland on our web site. We believe it will raise much interest and curiosity in all UFO fans. Just imagine the emotion of a walk on the bridge which set the stage for the romantic meeting between Paul Foster and Linda Simmons in the Psychobombs episode, or wandering in the squares and passageways in which the disturbing Timelash episode was shot. ----- |
