No A&E UFO Set 2 in 2002?

Hi all,

I just got an "Cult TV" e-mail from A&E, where they
list their upcoming Cult titles:

Courageous Cat Complete DVD set - October 1.
Lathe of Heaven DVD - October 1.
The Saint DVD set 7 - October 29.
Stingray Complete DVD set - December 3.

I don't see any UFO Set 2 on the schedule... :-(
Also, I see that Stingray has been delayed...
wasn't this originally scheduled for release
this month?

Following up, here is a reply I got from A&E customer
service on my question if UFO Set 2 will be available
by Christmas:

Hello from A&E Television Networks and thank you for your message.
At this time, we have not yet made a decision on when our next release of
UFO will be. (It is tentatively scheduled for some time in 2003, and will
probably not be available before this year's holiday season).

Well, that sucks. I'm glad I bought the Carlton set, but what could
they be thinking of to push the next A&E set back to 2003????

If I am not mistaken, A&E releases series in roughly 6 month rotations.

So...July is the first release and January would be the second release.
Nothing to be alarmed about. :)

Now, it does seem they would have put it on their schedule around the same
time as the Stingray release, so it's possible that they didn't want to
interfere with Stingray and will release UFO in February (January if you buy
it from A&E).

This of course is all conjecture on my part -- so don't take it too seriously.
Schedules change constantly, so we may yet see UFO Set 2 listed before year's
end.

And yes, Marc, the original email for Stingray indicated an August release.
