I read the usenet group rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated, usually for
posts by Joe Straczynski and heard some cool DVD news that may or may not
interest you.
Apparently someone from National Captioning Institute in Burbank, CA wrote
to the newsgroup looking for copies of scripts from season one and other
resources. She checked out, it wasn't a hoax (JMS started posting in the
thread himself) and we're hearing about all sorts of cool goodies like
episode commentaries, interviews etc. It looks like it's going to be
released in widescreen (real widescreen) 5.1 Dolby Digital and in season
box sets.
Here's a little quote from JMS

The fans, like the UFO fans on this list did a while back, are writing in
with all sorts of suggestions on who should do commentaries, (The writers,
The effects people, Larry DiTillo etc etc etc)
Interesting stuff. I wonder what I'm going to do with all my B5 tapes! I
have a set of syndicated (Off the air) episodes, TNT episodes, and Sci Fi
channel widescreen episodes! (The Sci Fi version had mistakes in it, wrong
scenes in wrong places on the first run through! The "off air" syndicated
version has effects from Hypernaughts somewhere in one of the episodes in a
mistake from the effects company!)
