I also, quite by chance, came across a mention of Derren Nesbitt
in the British Archive TV forum, here:

That's remarkable - thanks James! Happily, one of my DVD
players does R1 so I will definitely order a copy.

'Where Eagles Dare' is one of two films for which I've been waiting
for a DVD release for a few years. The other is 'The Battle Of
Britain', which, like 'Where Eagles Dare', I remember seeing at
the cinema as a child.
