Pick the Top 10!

Denise Felt
Hey, guys!

I need your expert assistance. I want to do an article for Helen's
Shadofile about the Top 10 Scenes from UFO, and I need your input. Here's
the deal. I put a quiz online at my website. If you already have the URL,
scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click on The TV Show. At the
bottom of that page, click on the Quiz and take it. Then send your answers
to me. It's easy!

If you don't have my site's URL, click here to go directly to the quiz:
http://skybusiness.com/poeticlicense/ufoquiz.html
Then send your answers to me. Thanks!
Yours,
Denise

Hi Denise,

<<I want to do an article for Helen's Shadofile about

My top ten from your list would be (in alphabetical
order) A, K, L, N, P, Q, R, T, Y, Z.

They come from 'Confetti Check A-OK', 'A Question of
Priorities', 'The Responsibility Seat', 'Kill
Straker!', 'Mindbender' and 'Court Martial'. All of
which episodes would make it into my top ten episode
list (along with 'Sub-Smash', 'The Cat With Ten
Lives', and 'The Psychobombs').

The pattern that seems to emerge from the choices is
prioritising the scenes and episodes dealing with the
personality, motivations and concerns of the lead
character, Ed Straker. Particularly the conflicts
between his responsibilities and concerns in his
private life and those he has as head of SHADO, and
how these affect him - and change the course of his
life. But also the ongoing, difficult to categorise
(friendship, enmity, competition ?) interaction with
the Foster character.

Having said which, there are other scenes not listed
which I enjoy because of the high quality of acting.
Vladek Sheybal's lecture to Straker and Foster in 'The
Cat With Ten Lives', for example ('The form of life
they take, I... can't begin to imagine !).

I have a slight suspicion as well that many lady fans
might include among their favourites Foster's sauna
scene in 'Ordeal'... while the gents might remember
Lt. Ellis' costume change in 'Identified' !

Hope this is of some use.

Regards,

Andy
