Pinewood Studios

Bruce Sherman
I found this clip on a old kid musical called bugsy malone.  In this clip, they show Pinewood Studios as it exists today.

I figure it would be interesting for some of us here.

There was a small.... something.. says hall of fame.

Would we have any interest in that?

Would we have any interest in that?  Considering I sat through the first 5 minutes before Pinewood was shown (could've warned me), and the last 4 minutes contained a lot of Scott Baio (could've warned me), I'd have to say no, LOL.  ;-)

But it was nice getting a glimpse of the studio as it is now.

Sorry... didn't occur to me to document the times :)I always liked Bugsy Malone :)

Is that the famous 007 stage they show?  I know its a cliché, but thinking about the large sets in You only live twice and the spy who love me, I would think it looked larger.

I don't think that is the 007 stage as it's much, much bigger with a very large rectangular tank built into the floor that housed the water and nuclear sub sets in The Spy Who Loved Me.

No. This is the 007 Stage:

Incidentally the 007 stage wasn't there at the time of shooting MIAS, which I believe used J and K stages.

Hi,

I am going to Pinewood Studios the end of next week. Their facilities management are very hot about the taking of photos, but if I get a chance I'll ask for permission.

There are at least three filming projects under way there at the moment, and it's the pre-release and on-going work they are generally very sensitive about.

Anyway, I will have a go - The people I am going to see are quite influential...
