Looks like A&E has updated their Web site --- UFO Box Set 2 is available for
pre-order -- release date (for A&E orders) of Dec. 02!

Note that it says on the same page that the shipping date is December 31st.
I think the December 2nd date is probably a mistake... (a leftover
from the Stingray page, perhaps?)

I can't believe that I am the only one to comment that the release date is
12/02/02?! That's a full month before we thought it would be.

DeepDiscountDvd.com will likely be selling it for US$45, as this
was their price for Set 1.

By the way, I have news from Paolo Malaguti that UFO will be released
on DVD in Japan in March 2003!

Reason I ask is that it looks like Stingray has the slipcase look -- but
perhaps the Stingray box art is a just a mock-up and not indicative of the
actual product?

I have no idea, but I also assume it's the same -- they seem to like
to maintain consistency within a given series.

Well, maybe they've reverted back to slipcases...? Don't know...

Actually, in looking at it more closely -- seems that the UFO case can only
hold 4 discs -- which UFO and Capt Scarlet are (hence the same cases).
Stingray is 5 volumes so I guess it gets the slipcase.
