A common problem these days is that some people seem to think that
posting anything related to Gerry Anderson is on-topic. I'm even
guilty myself by mentioning the Thunderbirds soundtrack CD. But
clearly things like Gerry's new projects (Firestorm), comics devoted
to Supercar, the meaning of "FAB", and obituaries for the producer of
the 2nd season of Space:1999 have absolutely nothing to do with UFO,
and really shouldn't be posted here. There *are* general purpose
Gerry Anderson groups, but it doesn't appear that anyone uses them.
And while each individual off-topic post may seem harmless, they
do add up, and as you can see it just ends up with UFO fans ignoring
the list and eventually unsubscribing.

But on the whole, I think we've been staying on topic better than
we have sometimes in the past, so I'm a bit perplexed why this
subject is coming up now.

So, attempting to stay on-topic, has anyone got any comments on
our current UFO episode up for discussion, THE REPSONSIBILITY SEAT?

Or, did anyone go to the Italian convention this weekend with
Ed Bishop or Mike Billington?

Personally I would much rather read this type of post than giggly oohs and
aahs about Bishop and Billington, or the sort of personal replies that
would be better sent directly to the recipient they are aimed at.
Out of curiousity, do you think that somewhere on the Yahoo "F-Troop"
mailing list they are having this same discussion? Lol.
