Are you sure this is not simply a DVD player problem? I have noticed
that things like contrast & color saturation vary a lot from player
to player. For example, on my el-cheapo Apex DVD player, the colors
are too saturated and the picture is on the bright side (the blacks
are kind of a muddy gray). However, on my overpriced Sony :-),
everything looks great -- the color is more subdued, and it's the
brightness/contrast is perfect, with nice solid blacks. (and this is
on the same TV set).
