Hi all,
Just following up on my problems in viewing Angelo's ART OF UFO website... even though I seem to be the only one having problems... :-/ Most of the links on this site are formed by relative hyperlinks. That is, the path is specified at the top of the page and the individual links are referenced with respect to that path. Problem is, my Mac browsers (Internet Explorer, Opera, iCab) all are not recognizing the relative linking specification he's using, so none of the relative hyperlinks work. The pages which don't work were generated by Microsoft Word 9. The relative hyperlink specification at the top of the page is: <link rel=File-List href="./artofufo_shado_earth_file/filelist.xml"> Since my browsers aren't recognizing this specification, all of the relative hyperlinks are incorrect (they leave out the subdirectory). So for example, my browsers try to open this (no subdirectory included): http://www.ufotv.it/artofufo_shado_earth_head_complex.htm When they really should be trying to open this (subdirectory included) http://www.ufotv.it/art_shadoearth/artofufo_shado_earth_head_complex.htm Just what we need... some new standard of relative hyperlinking which doesn't seem to work on several current browsers... I get the same thing on my Mac, Marc. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger.

Looks like we have two sets of problems here - Mac machines not recognizing
Winword relative-path statements and older versions of Netscape not rendering the pages at all. Both appear to be excellent reasions NOT to use Winword to create HTML. I couldn't reproduce any of the problems mentioned but I do know the W3C validator would throw conniption fits.
