Lorraine Meyer has accomplished an amazing feat -- she's found Ed
Bishop's high school yearbook photo!

When George Bishop wanted to become an actor, he had to register with
some actors association. And there was already a George Bishop
registered, so he had to pick another name. So that's how he became
"Ed Bishop". I'm not sure if there was any significance to the

He switched from Edward to Ed, didn't he? Somewhere in the middle of UFO,
some eps mention Edward Bishop in the credits, others Ed.
I knew about the "George" Bishop (must have read it on this list - when it
was still Fab-Ufo, that is) but didn't know about the Victor. Is that new
info or did I miss it?

It's not new -- my website's "cast information" file has had the following
line in it for the last several years:

Born as George Victor Bishop, changed his name to Edward when he became
a professional actor, as there was already an actor named George Bishop.

Of course, it doesn't say if he changed his middle name too... :-)
