>Ed and several other member of the cast played their own alien doubles in
Reflections Under the Water remember Jess? Yeah, I thought about that after I posted, but I wondered if Theresa had meant a *real* alien - had visions of Ed in green face paint. :) That was why I asked, as I didn't think I would have missed that... Dear Rob,
Thanks for the explanation. I was misled by your answer mentioning Gary Myers when my question to the list was basically "does anyone know Stuart Myers and in which episode he played the Alien?". As far as aliens are concerned, you should not forget also Richard Aylen (A Question Of Priorities) and Anthony Chinn (The Square Triangle)..... So let me ask again: Does anyone in the list know who Stuart Myers is and in which episode he played the Alien? Thanks & bye. teresa ISOSHADO PS: Jess, that's EXACTLY the same thing I thought when I first was told that Ed Bishop had played the Alien in one episode... ;-) ----- Original Message ----- > Hi Teresa, > > No, you misunderstood my message. >So let me ask again: Does anyone in the list know who Stuart Myers is and
>in which episode he played the Alien? By doing a Google search, I see that Stuart Myers played an "Axon Glob" in the Dr. Who episode "The Claws of Axos" (3/1971). Also a Cricketeer in the Dr. Who episode "Black Orchid" (3/1982). Also, he autographed a Dr. Who card as a Cyberman: http://www.richardwho.com/collections/collection174.asp Given that we seem to know most of the people who played the Aliens in UFO, we need to look at the episodes where we DON'T know who played the Aliens. For example, look at this behind-the-scenes photo from THE LONG SLEEP: http://ufoseries.com/bhLongSleep.jpg Who are these two people? "The Complete Book of UFO" says that Gito Santana played an Alien in THE LONG SLEEP, and yet neither of these people are Gito Santana.... Marc |
Hi Marc, thanks for the search.
I've just found this page with Mr. Myers's pict. http://pace999.hypermart.net/actorpage/myerss.html No clue on your other question... Bye all. teresa ISOSHADO ----- Original Message ----- > http://www.richardwho.com/collections/collection174.asp > Given that we seem to know most of the people who played the Aliens in UFO, > we need to look at the episodes where we DON'T know who played the Aliens. |

And that face did indeed look like Stuart Myers. It did NOT look like the Alien who later was seen in the SHADO medical center. So perhaps this Stuart Myers played an Alien in several UFO episodes... I have "The complete book of Gerry Anderson's UFO". Under each episode it lists "uncredited cast". Under The Long Sleep under "uncredited cast" it says "Alien: Gito Santana". Note the singular, although there were 2 aliens in that episode. How reliable is that book for that sort of information? |

Also, here is that frame capture that Christian sent me from COMPUTER AFFAIR, which I have brightened up so you can see the person's face inside the Alien costume: http://ufoseries.com/computer.jpg Again, this looks like Stuart Myers to me. Yet, if I look at "The Complete Book of UFO", it lists the Aliens being played by Hugo Panczak, Shane Rimmer, and Gito Santana. Marc |

I checked the IMDB and could not find any actor listed under the name Stuart
Myers. So I suspect that if he was indeed a alien in UFO he never got any further in his acting career that being a uncredited extra. James K. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Well, now he's getting his 15-seconds of fame! :-) Here's another more recent photo of him: http://www.elliottagency.co.uk/cd/stuart-m.htm And a more complete list of Dr. Who episodes he appeared in: http://www.tnelson.demon.co.uk/cult/a06/a006691.htm Marc |
