Regarding Screen sizes. They still sell 15" screens standard in Australia
and maybe
other countries as well. I still use a 13" screen which is only 5 yrs old.
Maybe you need to include both.

I was thinking a bit more about the difference between
the resolution difference between the convention photos
on the isoshado.org site (typically 640 x 480 pixels)
and on my site (typically 1024 x 768 pixels), and
wondered what people's preferences are? With smaller
photos, these download faster, take up less hard drive
space, and are guaranteed to look good even on small
screens with limited resolution. With larger photos,
these take longer to download, take up more space,
but look better for people who have larger monitors,
or want to use them as background screens or printouts.

Any ideas? When I typically make photo galleries
for non-UFO things, I use photo resolutions of 800x600
pixels. However, for the UFO site, I've been tending
towards 1024x768 pixels.

At some point, I'm going to get around to updating
my UFO photo galleries, so this will become an issue...
although in the past I have occasionally sidestepped
the issue by offering each photo at multiple
resolutions.

I just saw on the Fanderson discussion group that in the UK, UFO
will be showing on ITV4 beginning November 5th, shown at 7pm
and then repeated later at 2:20am.

This channel looks to be a replacement (although not intentional) for the
defunct Granada Plus over here. GP used to show all the old classic
British
telly, including The Persuaders, Randall & Hopkirk (original), The Saint,
and
The Protectors. This time around, not only are they showing UFO (and all
the
above mentioned) but also a real blast from the past - Department S and it
s
spin off Jason King. I am, unfortunately, old enough to remember these
programmes from their first showing. Perhaps now the powers that be will
see
their viewing figures rise and give us what we want - more UFO, perhaps
Space:1999 (the possibilities are endless, and I can't wait). Unless ... I
can't get
ITV4 (I get ITV 1,2, & 3, so I'm hoping I can).

It sounds like you are getting it via a Sky satellite
box, in which case ITV4 is actually on the Men & Motors
channel (136) for Tuesday night only. It will then be
broadcast from Monday 7th November on channel 120, so
I think you'll miss the 1st episode. :(
Those with digital terrestrial TV (aka freeview) should
already have ITV4 as long as they've re-scanned.

channel (136) for Tuesday night only. It will then be
broadcast from Monday 7th November on channel 120, so
I think you'll miss the 1st episode.

for ITV2 and 3 respectively. They are a bit useless aren't they :) imagine
having a launch night and then stopping everything for a week -

Marc,
Differing resolutions is fine, if it doesn't make a lot of extra work
for you uploading them. A smaller resolution works for me, even though
I have a large screen. But then, I usually download pics and print
them small, so it won't really affect me whichever way you decide.

I always prefer the largest size I can obtain, but I have a broadband
connection so the larger file sizes do not bother me. As always, I

Why is it that, even after the release of UFO on video, DVD, etc, I
*still* get excited about seeing it on *TV*? I mean, so what it's on tv
again?? I have every episode I can watch whenever I like. But...

That post about all monitors sold in the US being above 17" of course
does not include laptops either. I bought my wife an expensive and
lightweight laptop this year, and the screen is only 12" (1024 x 768)
