Re: Digest Number 910 (Related)

Hi Everyone

Regarding certain topics discussed in SHADO Digest
910;-

* UFO as a political satire? Forgetaboutit! How about
Star Trek with politicians? What about Ian Duncan
Smith as Picard & Peter Mandelson as Data?

* I think Frakes could be a good director if there was
ever a UFO movie. Let's not pass judgement on
Thunderbirds until we've seen it, eh?

* Not looked at the site yet but I imagine there'sa
reference to the rock band UFO in Digest 910. UFO are
one of my favourite rock bands of all time & their
classic line-up featured the mercurial talent of
guitarist Michael Schenker. Schenker used to regularly
go missing in the late 70s, there were rumours he'd
been kidnapped by the Moonies or Little Green Men. How
about a UFO meets UFO crossover story? Maybe Schenker
could be kidnapped by the Aliens & his bandmates
stumble upon SHADO in their attempts to rescue him &
the two sides have to begrudgingly pool their
resources in order to save The Mad Axeman!

Neil

IDS as Picard - yes. But I think Mandy's a bit too .. human to
play Data

I was a UFO fan and saw them a few times - haven't heard the
latest reunion album, have heard it isn't very good though.
