Re: Digest Number 972

Anthony Caira
Hi Amelia
Many thanks for the well wishes. Great to meet you on SHADO!

For most of us - our childhood is a 'happy time' that we can retreat to when
we're feeling stressed/I'll/ under pressure.

I'm 37 and some people find it strange that our lounge is full with Gerry
Anderson memorabilia - Thunderbirds toys, Captain Scarlet figures and
models, and of Course UFO Dinky Toys!

People just dismiss this as childishness, but its not really - to me and my
partner it makes our home a warmer and more unique place - somewhere we can
retreat to:)

You are right about needing strength - the cancer journey is a long one and
at times I as the partner find it hard to be 'strong' for Alison, but she's
a fighter and so am I - so we'll keep on fighting. Those pesky aliens won;t
get any of our internal organs!:)

Thanks again Amelia for the understanding and well wishes, it has really
helped to know we're not alone:)

I Hope we can chat more soon
All best wishes
Tony & Alison
